Job Description

Win10 Build & Deployment LeadFPSG are working with an industry leader who require a Windows Deployment / Build Engineer for a contract based near Croydon. (regular site attendance required)Please note this is an urgent need and candidates must be available for a 3 - 4 week client on-boarding process. Due to the time of the year this role is ideally suited for someone looking for a contract to start in January 2021.Role Responsibilities:

  • Receiving deliveries of new and legacy devices - stock manage, organise and report using appropriate processes and tools
  • Unboxing new devices and prepare for Windows 10 builds - asset tagging, scanning serial numbers and MAC addresses and load data sets into tools and database
  • Picking devices for builds according to current schedule - device mapping, staging and building computers at correct T-Schedule dates
  • Troubleshooting builds and escalating issues following the appropriate technical and project escalation paths.
  • Coordinating and supporting team
    • Skills and Experience:
  • Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating system migration / deployment experience.
  • Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, formatting and data manipulation)
  • High level understanding of SCCM build process (USMT, mapping, staging, UAT)
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Ability to follow complex work instructions
  • Knowledge of PC hardware components (MB, HDD, RAM, CPU etc.)
  • Hands on experience building and upgrading computer hardware
  • Windows commands- ping, shut down, IP release/renew etc.
  • Knowledge of BIOS setting

  • Work using own initiative
    • Progress criteria:
    1. Must have required skills and experience in recent assignments
    2. Be able to commence assignment in January 2021
    3. Be able to meet on-boarding (DBS Checks, Reference, etc)
    4. Comfortable with a £170-190 day rate
