Job Description

Ref - JR1450Vacancy - Warehouse / Stores SupervisorIndustry - Electrical and Lighting DistributionLocation - Croydon, SurreyWorking hours - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm full time permanentSalary - £25,000 to circa £28,000 per annum + potential bonuses - generous holiday entitlement, pension schemeWe are looking for a professional Warehouse / Stores Supervisor for a well established business in the Croydon, Surrey area.The company has branches across the UK and pride themselves in delivering a first class Customer Service as well as being leaders in warehouse operations best practice.All staff play a vital role working together as a team to accurately provide products with an excellent timely service with profitability as a key target.We are looking for a hard working, self-motivated and enthusiastic Warehouse / Stores Supervisor with good experience in a similar distribution industry.You will join a small but busy team of staff within the business.Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing stock in and out (to external clients) as well as in store transfers and stock control
  • Picking and packing (including fork lift truck operation)
  • Recycling including WEEE
  • Completing the paperwork associated with a busy Warehouse
  • Deliveries, including use of systems, managing external suppliers and van delivery sheets
  • Stocktaking, including paper processing and cut-off dates
  • There may also be a necessity to handle calls to and from other branches
  • Book goods in and out on the computer system
  • You will be in sole charge of the warehouse / No staff supervision required
  • Serving customers at the Trade Counter on an ad hoc basis so the ability to deal with customers on a face to face basis is essential
  • Other duties as required
