Job Description

Water is essential to daily life, and that means our business is always open.What you will be doing:We are looking for a Technical Works Co-ordinatorto ensure effectiveflow of work through to the field in a quality controlled and customer-focused manner. This role will involve supporting the optimisation of field team utilisationthat will allowfield-basedteamstoundertake the work as per the specifiedasset management standards. You will need to make sure that all work is delivered in a customer friendly, cost-efficient manner whilst complyingfully with health and safety standards and in linewith currentlegislation.Targeting afirst-timesolution, engaging with key stakeholders as required.This role will involve travelling when necessary to sites.Day to day duties:

  • Large consequential damage reinstatementssite meetingsauthorisation of high value work
  • VS backlog reviews
  • AL main backlog monitoring
  • Ensure any works undertaken is fully compliant to all H&S standards and that appropriate documentation has been completed both prior and during the progression of any such works
  • Provide expertise, leadership and technical advice to field-based operations staff during the undertaking of field activities
  • Support, monitor and report as required on repair team and support staff performance to ensure all works is undertaken to the highest standard. Providing support and mentoring to staff as required to assist in the continuous improvement of the service beingdelivered to our customers / stakeholders
  • Build and developing working relationships with key accounts / stakeholders to enable supports for internal business units in the undertaking of their duties
  • Own and coordinate complex repair operations both planned and reactive works to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimum customer disruption
  • Take the lead on key customer escalations relating to R&M as directed by line management
  • Work with management to assist in the out-performance of financial targets relating to R&M activities and streetworks compliance
  • Use all appropriate IT technology / systems as requested by line manager to assist in the undertaking of duties
  • Attend regular meetings with other internal departments from around the business to assist and imbed a culture of collaborative working and support within the infrastructure alliance

Were looking for you to have:
  • Competent in the use of IT systems, preferred knowledge of SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Understanding of H&S culture
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of NRSWA Units 2 and 10preferred
  • Strong understanding of the repair and maintenance functions within a clean water distribution network
  • Background in planning, scheduling or logistics
