Software Developer - PHP | EcommerceSouth London / Hybrid (2 days per week initially) with fully remote option in future£50k - £55k DOE + benefitsWe are working with a well-known online retail brand who are undergoing a period of rapid growth, with their investment being heavily focussed on their Ecommerce sites and platform.As part of this expansion of their cross-functional Ecommerce team, they are looking to add to their Software Engineering capability by hiring a Backend PHP Developer to continue the development and maintenance of their current ecommerce applications andsystems, as well as playing a key role in the design of their upgraded systems and sites which are planned for 2023.Working alongside a Frontend Web Developer, youll get the opportunity to build new, cross-platform web applications along with the implementation of upgraded, B2B APIs.It really is a great time to join this prominent Ecommerce brand and this team in particular; being led by their new Ecommerce Director who is passionate about building cross-functional teams and personal development.Initially theyd like you to be in their office twice a week (which is literally next door to the station on the London Bridge line) but are happy to offer fully remote options once settled in.Along with a solid background in PHP web development, experience with the following tech stack and methodology would be advantageous, but by no means essential to tick them all.

  • XML, JSON, SQL and application troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, REST, XSD & XSLT
  • Exposure to PHP, HTML, CSS
  • Experience of working within software development life cycles (SDLC)
  • Exposure of working within Agile environments.
  • Experience using ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA)
