Job Description

LOCATION: East CroydonDEPARTMENT: FinanceCONTRACT: Permanent Term ContractHOURS: 40hrs p/wTHE COMPANY:Green Network Energy is a new independent energy and gas supplier in UK for domestic and business customersThe company is part of the Italian Group Green Network SpA based in Rome since 2003. Today it is a top 10 Independent energy company in Europe with annual revenues of over €2billion.The company has with big ambitions to continue its growth, and we are looking to recruit new talent to be part of our journey.THE ROLE:The role of the Reporting and Account Manager is to supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. You will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting financial information. Additionally, you will be improving our end to end financial reporting processes.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completing numerous month end journals e.g. commissions, Gas Distribution, Metering etc.
  • Ensuring month end process is completed by the team in line with the reporting deadlines.
  • Analyse balance sheet and profit and loss, ensuring figures are in line with expectations.
  • Compile the month end backing data information, and complete slide deck.
  • Complete reporting package, considering group-level adjustments.
  • Conduct P+L analysis and review with Commercial Team
  • Regulatory Reporting to Ofgem (RFI)
  • Complete annual statutory accounts and deal with auditors for information requests
  • Update the rolling budget model with weekly Commodity Prices
  • Ongoing budgeting and review of OPEX with Senior Management
  • Cash forecast management, providing Treasury with latest GM view
  • Liaise with the business for updated views on costs e.g. latest contract information etc.
  • Managing of Credit Cover in place with suppliers (cash lodged, PCGetc.)
  • Discuss and approve AP and payment runs with members of the team
  • Liaise with Gas Shippers regarding payments, credit and licensing
  • Assist the finance team with any requests/problems
    • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous experience as a Reporting or Accounting Manager
  • Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Excellent computer skills on MS Office and knowledge of accounting software and databases
  • Ability to multi task
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to details and good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
