DriverProtective Equipment DeliveryLondon Fire Brigade, one of the largest public sector organisations based in London are looking to recruit a Driver for their team based in the Croydon warehouse. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm.Pay rate: £14.46 per hour PAYE or £18.83 per hour UmbrellaThe purpose of the role: To work as part of the Protective Equipment Group team in providing service and maintenance to the Brigades various types of protective and compressed gas operated equipment, ensuring its operational standard and readiness.Key responsibilitiesTo maintain and service various protective and pneumatic operated equipment, using light engineering tools and equipment. To undertake the charging of compressed air cylinders and maintenance of OSG equipment at Croydon and at other satellite facilities locatedwithin the Greater London area. To undertake the movement, transport and carrying of equipment, as required, within the area covered by the Brigade. To maintain and update records, both manual and computerised, relating to equipment and stores. Skills, knowledge, and experiencePossession of a full, clean UK driving licence Good I.T. skills to input and retrieve information, and for the sending of emails. The ability and physical fitness to carry and move safely items of equipment (e.g., 6Kg compressed air cylinders). (Training willbe provided in safe use of handling and use of equipment).
