Job Description

Health & Safety Coordinator (ideally IOSH or NEBOSH) for an expanding business in the Croydon area. This role would suit someone from an armed forces / military background and has DGSA though its not essential. Youll be managing the H&S and ISO 9001 documentation across the business and sites across the UK, ensuring all relevant policies are and manuals are in place, liaising with line managers, and doing regular inspections to ensure audit compliance. Ideally you will be IOSH or NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety Coordinator, though qualifications arent essential, as the firm would consider training.Health & Safety Coordinator

  • Set clear standards with respect to H&S that are consistent with the firms standards
  • Initiate & Support the set-up of an annual H&S plan
  • Provide a H&S training framework and support local personnel in developing at local level a H&S training plan/framework which complies with local legislation and the firms standards
  • Set up, advise in implementation/execution and maintenance of tools, guidelines, best practices, procedures and manuals
  • Expertise and knowledge preservation tasks: the set up and maintenance of a competence model for each company within the group
  • Manage the relationship with local H&S Personnel
  • Coordinate on a central level H&S activities and act as focal point liaison between HQ and sites, including communication of case histories as appropriate
  • Execute projects in the field of H&S.
  • Inspect the sites via audits and execution of workvisits according to standards
  • Performance management information to the directors including measurement analysis and reporting (monthly, yearly)
  • Provide support with the analyses of serious incidents as required
  • Maintaining a Quality Management System and ensuring that the processes for the system are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO9001. You will support the companies in the group who are ISO9001 registered (UK and overseas).
  • IOSH or NEBOSH though this isnt an essential requirement
  • An armed forces / military background and have DGSA would be a bonus
