Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers become insolvent and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.We’re looking for a Head of Actuarial Levy and Policy to lead the provision of actuarial analysis within our strategy and policy function.Forthcoming pensions legislation, Brexit, and domestic and European court cases mean that this is an exciting and fast-moving time for the department. The job holder will head up the Actuarial Levy and Policy team and will work alongside the Director of Strategy and Policy to spearhead PPF policy positions through the provision of analysis and modelling. They will engage with external stakeholders on a broad range of issues not limited to core PPF activities. Key responsibilities include leading interactions with senior technical stakeholders to present recommendations on future levy policy and the evolution of the DB pensions landscape, proactively representing the PPF to relevant national and local bodies, and providing dedicated leadership to their team including process improvements and challenging current working practicesWe require a professional with wide-ranging experience; specifically an individual who can own actuarial policy initiatives with strong exposure to actuarial specialisms including modelling, risk and valuation.
