FM Conway are searching for an enthusiasticGeneral Operative to join us at our Croydon Asphalt Plant. You will join us on a permanent basis, working on a rotating shift to cover our 24/5 operation.At FM Conway, we deliver vital infrastructure services that help keep people, communities and businesses moving. People first, go home safe.TheGeneralOperativeRole:As ourGeneralOperative you will need to operate the plant and associated equipment to facilitate production of materials for our customer’s needs.Working within the Asphalt & Aggregate division you will plan and communicate information effectively to ensure that all customer requirements can be met.Responsibilities as our General Operative:- Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner that complies with FMC procedures- Loading of material onto vehicles- Undertaking all loading shovel operations as required.- Operating all weighbridge functions as required.- Following site Health & Safety procedures- Contributing to overall well-being and profitability of the site and the business.What we’re looking for in our General Operative:To be considered for this role It is essential that you are a team player, with good communications skills and a full UK driving license. You will be flexible, computer literate and health and safety conscious.
