I have a contract role for an Electrical Harness Builder to join a busy team in the clean energy industry. This is initially a 3 month contract, with high potential to be extended. They apply these technologies in refrigerated transport, built environment and commercial vehicles. The open-plan office has a real collaborative feel to it, with everyone working together to achieve a greener, cleaner world.The Role:Reporting to the Lead Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be involved in building vehicle wiring harnesses, commissioning, and fault-finding control systems. The role requires experience in connector termination, cable containment, wire splicing and following electrical schematics and wiring lists. Panel building and rig test building experience would be a benefit, as would prototype electrical development experience. Day to day activity will include:- Electrical harness build- Meeting electrical quality standards- Vehicle wiring- Wiring harness modifications- Harness testing and fault finding- Test lab supportWhat is required:- Wiring harness build- Cable termination and splicing- Cable containment- Electrical schematic interpretation- Wiring list interpretation- Panel building- Electrical design (basic power distribution/control circuits)- Proven fault-finding experience in complex electrical systems- CAN networking experienceWere looking for self-motivated, proactive & professional individuals that are ready to be part of something incredible.
