Assistant EditorLocation: Cringleford, near Norwich, NR4 6AU - with Hybrid/Remote working possibilitiesSalary: £25,000 - £30,000, DOEContract: Permanent, Full TimeHours: Mon-Thurs, 8 - 5, Fridays 8 - 1 (although some overtime may be required)What we can offer you (Benefits):

Founded in the UK in 1999, Schofield Publishing currently produces nine business-to-business magazines that are distributed throughout Great Britain, Europe, the US and the rest of the world, both in print and digitally. Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Constructionand Food/Beverage are some of the sectors covered in the publications.Schofield Publishing is currently recruiting for an Assistant Editor to join its production team.Based in the office near Norwich in Norfolk, and reporting to the Editor and the Creative Director, the Assistant Editor role comprises a variety of tasks, with a main focus on overseeing the in-house profiles writing team, personally writing profiles andundertaking interviews, proofreading, liaising with clients, maintaining spreadsheets, and ensuring content is ready for magazine publication.Feature writing, organizing and preparing major interviews with industry figures, and managing ad-hoc projects will be part of the role alongside working with the web and marketing teams on content.The Assistant Editor may be required to travel to events and represent the magazines, as well as undertake video interviews and manage video content.The Production department is a very close-knit team, and the new member of staff will have to quickly be able to establish themselves within this group and be able to work cohesively as part of this group.The Assistant Editor will be/have: Previous writing experience is essential, as is demonstrable experience with planning and organisation, and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
