Company description:XPO Logistics, IncJob description:Logistics done differently.Due to continued growth and new business wins, XPO Logistics has a rare opportunity for a Business Unit Director to lead and develop a brand-new business unit. You will ensure continued success, overseeing all aspects of the business unit including operations,finance, business development, and HR.   • P&L and strategic ownership for the business unit, driving and delivering the UK Transport strategy
  • Operating at board level, responsible for the development of the business unit strategy to meet company objectives & partnering business development to engage both existing and potential clients and support innovative solutions
  • Support the Financial Controller in preparation of budgets, forecasts, financial reports
  • Line Management of regional general managers, covering a varied and diverse customer base, whilst working with the HR Business Partner to support business situations in accordance with company HR practices and policies
What you need to succeed at XPO:
  • Proven leadership experience of managing multiple complex contracts ideally within the 3rd party, transport sector
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - Able to build relationships quickly in order to engage and influence key stakeholders and clients
  • Strong financial skills with the ability to analyse data, both financial and operational, recognising trends, anticipating problems, and drawing sound conclusions
