Job Description

Your new employerRK Accountancy is currently working with a leading retail business in Crewe and is recruiting a Retail Accounts Administrator.Your main duties and requirements in this jobYou will be responsible for the posting and reconciliation of all receipts via all channels and completion of the bank reconciliations. The job entails investigating discrepancies and liaising with the relevant internal or external departments and being the key point of contact regarding any banking related issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Post daily store statements and perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Investigate and escalate where appropriate any issues with the banking
  • Take ownership of the accounts from a Finance perspective – this will involve reconciling the transactions and raising the daily payments
  • Create and distribute weekly reports for the Operations and Risk Management teams
  • Be the main point of contact for a key account and arrange/monitor store cash collections
  • Work closely with the Risk Management team on any relevant investigations
  • Set up any new stores/merchant IDs with the relevant external parties e.g. Worldpay
  • Key skills
  • You will have a retail background (preferential) and experience of performing large volume reconciliations (Preferential)
  • You will be educated with a Finance degree (Preferential)
  • You are a proactive and driven individual, self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude. You will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work through a large volume of data accurately and at a steady pace
  • You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal and have strong attention to detail
  • You will be a strong team player who can form good working relationships with the rest of the finance team and the wider company
