Job Description

Seven Resourcing are looking for 2 temporary Commissioning Support Officers to work in Crewe, Cheshire. These positions are initially for 2 months and are paying £12.71 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).The role: Support Commissioning/Contract and Quality Assurance Managers to develop and deliver services for the people of Cheshire East that meet high standards of quality and performance whilst also achieving value for money.To provide administrative and project support as part of the Commissioning / Contract and Quality Assurance Team. This will includes use of information systems, data analysis and project management approaches.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate performance and business information relating to Adults Social Care, Childrens and Public Health services commissioned within the Team and submit information for use and for presentation by Commissioning Managers/Contracts and Quality Assurance Managers, so that the performance management requirements and improvement agenda are met. This includes support Commissioning/ Contracts and Quality Assurance Managers by employing a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and Sharepoint to undertake a range of tasks on their behalf. Supporting the development of high level reports e.g. for DMT/Cabinet/CLT/Scrutiny/team meetings etc; sensitive HR related documents/letters to staff; complex mail merges; financial spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations etc. Complete these tasks from written/electronic drafts or dictation as required as generated by the Senior Manager to ensure that all correspondence and other tasks are dealt with promptly and to a high standard of presentation.
  • Support the introduction and development of the service related performance management systems and provide analysis on relevant data to the Commissioning/Contract and Quality Managers to ensure corporate and departmental objectives and targets are being achieved. Support Commissioning/Contract and Quality Managers on how to maximise the use of technology in the delivery of their roles, this could be via the provision of templates (such as Project Management Templates, Spreadsheets and PowerPoint etc).
  • Assist with communications by supporting the regular collection of service information across the Team and submit this for use by the Commissioning/Contract and Quality Assurance Managers in the creation of the most effective strategies for service development.
  • Provide procurement, ordering, processing and technical Oracle support across the Service and link with corporate colleagues in order to ensure compliance with the procurement Vision and optimise the effectiveness of front line staff.
  • Receive and co-ordinate a variety of complex meetings and other events for Commissioning/Contracts and Quality Assurance Managers in a professional and efficient manner, utilising Microsoft Outlook. Meetings and events will include senior managers, councillors, service users and partners etc, internally and externally to the Council.
  • Receive and deal with a variety of feedback and queries from members of the public, partners, suppliers and providers in a professional and effective manner to maintain excellent public perception and business reputation. This includes receiving incoming telephone calls and correspondence, determining their importance and priority and respond directly if possible.
  • Applicant Requirements:
  • Qualifications: NVQ level 3 within a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within Adult Social Care, Childrens Services, Public Health Commissioning or Contracts and Quality Assurance.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and references.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
