Job Description

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a new opportunity taking you down the route of Finance Business Partner Or a Commercial Accountant wanting to push forward with working as a Business Partner across key areas of a businessIf so, we have an exciting role based in Crewe working for a well-established commercial organisation. Due to growth and a finance restructure this is a position which will allow you to be creative in its development.In this role the individual will work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and wider finance department. You will play an integral role in the delivery of a best in class finance function as defined in the Finance Departmental strategy. Workingfor a caring and nurturing company it is essential that you place a high level of customer focus and delivery as a priority.This role is integral to the finance department. You will be working for a leading services sector business, responsible for providing finance business partnering for key functional stakeholders including P&L support with key business decisions on pricing,yield, margins, operating costs, and profitability.Putting financial analysis at the heart of the decision-making process for the business you will be accountable for the financial analysis of key business drivers alongside other duties including:

  • Accountable for partnering with stakeholders across the business including Marketing, Sales, IT and Operations
  • Preparation of month end commentary, providing insights and suggestions for remedial activities
  • Investigates and questions reported trends in KPIs with stakeholder groups and implements mid to short term plans to maximise performance
  • Aid in supporting stakeholders through providing variance analysis and overall financial modelling to drive business decisions
  • Challenge unusual P&L movements, forecasts, and fluctuations to ensure forecast and actual financial performance is robust
  • Assist business operations to manage Financial Governance and Risks and Controls as outlined by Group Policies and financial reporting standards
  • Support the Finance Director & Senior Business Partner by producing complex/bespoke analysis that requires sound business acumen and understanding of business trends
  • Stakeholder management
Experience RequiredTo be successful in this role you must demonstrate the ability to have good communication and presentation skills, demonstrating an understanding of the wider business drivers and challenges when sharing financial information. In addition, the ability tocommunicate financial information at the appropriate stakeholder level and ensure relevant training and coaching is provided to non-financial stakeholders.QualificationsCIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with relevant experience managing stakeholders. You will hold appropriate experience of operating at this level with an excellent working knowing of Excel.
