This is a hybrid-type role covering goods-in, local driving, materials storage, warehousing, and factory consumables.Duties:* Unloading and booking in deliveries of raw materials and parts from subcontractors* Driving company vans to deliver and collect parts between sites and sub-contractors * Issue materials to production* Organise inventory of raw materials* Manage scrap and swarf generated by machining processes* Monitor and manage supplies of consumables related to machining eg. coolant, lubricant* General housekeeping across goods in, materials stores and across the factory floor* Assist in other stages of manufacturing and finishing processes when necessaryThe role holder must:* Organise inventory of materials in such a way that they are readily available and easy to find when needed* Treat materials and products with appropriate care, reflecting their value* Work safely and methodically to avoid production delays* Use appropriate systems to record and co-ordinate all of the above tasksSkills required:* Clean driving Licence * Counterbalance Forklift Licence/ or training can be provided* Ability to act on initiative* Positive can-do attitude* Attention to detail* Manual handling awareness* Effective communicator* Adaptable to changing prioritiesThe company offers a good benefits package along with great working environment.
