This is a newly created teamThe company has a catalogue of 40,000 products and hold stock worth £2 millionThey are looking for a warehouse supervisor to report into the Supply Chain ManagerYou will ideally have CIPS qualification in Warehouse and Inventory ManagementThe role is based in Crawley, but with 4 weeks initial training in FarnboroughAccurately pick, pack and despatch orders in accordance with picking list requirements (and ensure team do so as well)Receive and accurately book in stock from suppliers, plus returned goods into QA section (and ensure team do so as well)Conduct daily stock checks as required by the schedule of Perpetual Stock checks operated at the companyReel cable correctly as required using cable reeling machine (and ensure team do so as well)Assemble panels and other light assemblies correctly in accordance with works order requirements (and ensure team do so as well)Operate a counterbalance fork lift truck (or delegate) – ensuring that the forkliftis inspected before use and that a condition log (including battery) is maintained (and ensure team do so as well)Ensure the warehouse consumables such as cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, reels, screws etc are replenished in a timely fashion to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouseEnsure the warehouse equipment including hand tools, power tools, scales, reeling machine, fork lift, fork lift charger, lifting equipment, ladders, racks, fixtures and fittings are in good, safe, serviceable condition and where appropriate calibrated.Report any faulty or hazardous equipment to the Purchasing and Operations ManagerManage warehouse staff holiday leave to ensure the continued operation of the warehouse throughout the yearMaintain a good level of warehouse staff morale and develop and maintain a cohesive team
