Pertemps Crawley are looking for an experienced Sub Contracts Buyer to support a leading Civil Engineering firm on a 3 month project. This is a remote role working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.Previous Highways experience is highly desirable as well as a CIPS level qualification and strong knowledge of Construction commercial law (NEC). First class communication skills are essential when negotiating and influencing Suppliers as well as advanced experience of Excel to enable analysis and reporting of statistics.Key Responsibilities include;- Manage the Procurement Strategy process including development of the SCF01- Maintain good working relationships with site personnel, estimators & HSQE- Carry out the review and approvals of material and sub-contract orders- Check quotations are compliant with specification and commercial requirements- Prepare and issue orders- Carry out vendor appraisals & attend meetings as required (remote)
