Job Description

The SHEQ Manager is a pivotal role within the Operations, overseeing safety, health, environmental, and quality matters. The successful candidate will strive for excellence in all areas, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.Client DetailsOur client is a supplier of equipment and consumables to the care sector. The business continue to grow organically and through acquisition.DescriptionYou will work closely with the Operations teams and the wider business to establish all aspects of SHEQ within the business as well as being a driver behind improvement processes across the entire business. You will be tasked with ensuring full regulatorycompliance and act as the lead person for all H&S matters. You will Improve performance through the implementation of relevant management systems and initiate and oversee a health and safety behaviour change programme. You will be fundamental in helping thebusiness obtain the desired ISO UKAS accreditationsProfileA successful SHEQ Manager should have:

  • NEBOSH National/ Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Practical working knowledge of working with ISO management systems.
  • Examples of working in a SHEQ role at a similar level and bringing about cultural change
  • Significant examples of managing Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality accreditations.
  • Comfortable coaching, training and mentoring to develop team knowledge and expertise.
  • Examples of successfully managing projects.
  • Leadership examples of providing guidance, advice and encouragement in colleagues development.
