Job Description

Senior Java Developer - Senior Java Software Engineer - Senior Java Analyst Programmer - Java SE - Java EE - SQL - Web - Linux - Crawley - West Sussex - up to £75,000 pa + Benefits to work for an established Award-Winning Software and Service Provider based close to Gatwick / Crawley in West Sussex.This Senior Java Developer - Senior Java Software Engineer - Senior Java Analyst Programmer must be highly skilled in Java SE or EE this is a brilliant opportunity to join as a senior member of successful and growing team of established developers.Experience and skills sought:

  • Good commercial experience being a product and architectural design authority
  • Solid commercial experience developing multi-threaded server-side applications using Oracle Java, including exceptional knowledge of Generic Programming
  • Multi-threaded server-side web application development using Java in a Servlet web container using an MVC architecture-based framework such as Struts, JSF, etc.
  • Knowledge of HTML, full CSS box model, and JavaScript to create client-side dynamic web page content
  • If you also have dynamic web page generation using Java Server Pages, Linux configuration and Linux shell scripting as well as SQL experience so much the better
    • Core responsibilities:
  • Review, supervise and provide guidance on other members proposed designs as well orchestrating top & low level decisions
  • Develop yourself as a design authority expert across various technical areas of my clients product range
  • Undertake full software lifecycle involvement in enhancing web application, e.g. designing, coding, and maintaining server-side components in Java (SE or EE)
  • Undertake client-side JavaScript component development
  • Run and maintain test scenarios, in addition to addressing defects
  • Fully participate in my clients Agile software development activities, i.e. daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and backlog creation activities
  • Write supporting design and technical documentation
