Our client, a well renowned and growing business in Crawley, are seeking a Payroll Officer to join their Accountancy team.Client DetailsOur client, a well renowned and growing business in Crawley, are seeking a Payroll Officer to join their Accountancy team.DescriptionPayroll Officer. * Responsible for data auditing / analysis, data entry, corrections and compliance matters associated with the Payroll function in the UK.* KRONOS Superuser for the UK region.* Works independently and in collaboration with the Finance function.* Resolution of complex payroll issues with little management or guidance.* Able to audit and process a database spanning UK.* Conduct payroll compliance checks ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely in accordance with government regulations.* Screening employees hours worked for calculating or coding errors.* Accurately enters any payroll information not contained within the Time and Attendance batch files.* Ensures payroll related transactions follow external and internal policies.* Maintains a thorough working knowledge of payroll and timekeeping software and stays current with related labour laws and regulations.* Coordinates with timekeepers, HR and Finance to ensure efficient flow and maintenance of employee data.* Able to use appropriate software reporting writing tools to produce customised and routine reports.* Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all managers and supervisors in all areas of the business. * Assist in the induction process when required.* Assist in administration of Safety Reports.* Manage sensitive information with confidentiality.ProfileThe successful candidate will have some experience of the above, at least 4 years experience in Payroll and have an understanding of Time and Attendance systems. (ideally KRONOS)Strong organisational skills and a positive attitude.Ability to use initiative and to work independently in a busy environment.Intermediate to advanced completer skills, including Microsoft office.Job OfferSalary - £30,000Great Benefits!
