Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Manager to join their team near Gatwick on a permanent basis, to develop and manage the company infrastucture. Our client pride themselves on being a leading provider of the latest broadcasting technology for anythingfrom major sporting events to independant home projects.Day-to-day of an IT Manager

  • Technical leadership & management (people and process).Maintain a secure infrastructure.
  • Managing 3rd party supplier relationships.
  • Responsible for development and upkeep of all IT system documentation and standards.
  • Management of all IT backups and the IT section of the business continuity procedure.
  • Purchase and configuration of IT equipment and software as required by the business.
  • Must have excellent all-round verbal and written communication skills.
  • Carry out performance management for direct reporting staff.
  • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure of the company.
  • Ensure that systems are appropriate, robust and secure.
  • Manage the operational delivery of all IT needs of the business both directly and through managing the IT Support Engineer.
Required skills for an IT Manager
  • 5+ years of work experience in a similar role, with people management experience.
  • Be reliable, always available/prepared to help with acan-do attitude.
  • Have a keen interest in IT with an open mind to alternative technical solutions.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively translate technical subject matter into everyday language.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure technologies.
  • Experienced technical skills across the Microsoft desktop and server software stack Server 2019.
  • Able to identify areas of improvement and within the IT structure and provide new solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience of VMware virtualisation environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 11g Databases.
  • Experience with AWS, VMware, VOIP technology, Exchange, Azure, Veeam, Firewalls, Networking solutions.

  • An effective communicator who can achieve their goals working in a business that has a mixture of IT literate and not so literate colleagues
  • A person that recognises the business supports its customer 24/7 and is flexible enough to work when required to support that delivery
