Job Description

Reed Finance are currently partnered with a very well established organisation in the recruitment of aSenior Financial Controllerto oversee a team of 3. This role will providing leadership and guidance to the finance,HR and administration teams and as being a part of the UK management team, you will helpmanage the UK business, protecting the Company assets and striving to meet Company objectives.As SeniorFinancial Controller you responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Control including maintaining financial and accounting controls, compliance, audits, statutory accounts, consolidations, annual budgets,prepareand report UK Government Statistics returns and provide support to groups finance staff
  • Configure, administer, and maintain the group’s accounting software and provide first line technical support for usersPayroll,liaise with the company’s UK pension advisors, oversee staff benefits, checking payroll and reviewing annual pay recommendations
  • Tax management in UK and branches, especially Corporation Tax & Transfer Pricing, ensuring taxes are paid and filed accurately and promptly
  • Ensure appropriate business insurances are in place, coordinating with the company’s insurance brokers
  • Group Reporting including monthly management reports, quarterly group management accounts and consolidation pack, reporting and overseeing setting up or closing down of overseas entities and ongoing administration
  • Provide support for the management of maintenance and upkeep of corporate buildings and grounds, including facilities meetings with external advisers;
  • Compliance, risk management, authorisingsignature for customer contracts, NDAs and many vendors’ purchase invoices
  • Liaising with the group companies’ advisers, including bank relationship director (UK and overseas), audit partner and solicitors and undertakingCompany Secretarial duties
Key Requirements include:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent);
  • At least 10 years experience in a similar background, being a multi-entity, multi-currency business;
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate and influence effectively across all levels of the organisation;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Strong sense of overall cost control
  • Strong analytical skills and results focused
