Job Description

Cloud Microsoft Azure Site Reliability Engineer£competitive salary and benefits packageCrawley/GatwickKeywords: Azure, Cloud, support, sysadmin, systems administration, VMware, Microsoft,Cloud Site Reliability Engineer is required by a highly successful international organisation based close to Gatwick. As a senior member of the IT Infrastructure team you are a key player in ensuring the reliability of customer infrastructure (Azure Cloud), monitoring and resolving issues as well as documenting and escalating action points for this leading enterprise level organisation.Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyse, and resolve incidents for customers infrastructure running in Azure* Install, configure, and administer customer systems in Azure* Perform regular reviews, document systems, processes, and procedures* Escalate cases to appropriate staff as necessary to ensure case are closed in a timely fashion* Follow up on issues via e-mail, ticketing system, and phone calls with our customers.* Communicate technical issues and solutions with clients in business terms
    • Requirements
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with virtualization/Cloud technologies including: Azure, VMware & Citrix.
    • Previous NOC or 24/7 managed service environment experience* Advanced Azure Certification(s) - preferred* 3+ years System administration and support experience (Linux, Windows or both (preferred)* Experience with PowerShell, scripting and other automation technologies
  • SQL Server configuration and support experience.* Active Directory skills; Group Policy Admin, Replication and Deployment experience.* Automation experience with a configuration management system (ARM, DSC, Terraform or other) * Well versed in Internet architectures, including web, application, and database components.* Solid understanding of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics.
