Job Description

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER CRAWLEYUP TO £35,000 BASICCOMMISSION + COMPANY CAR + MOREWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their successful team. The company has enjoyed exceptional success in recent years and are ready to grow their team to match demand.You will be responsible for the acquisition of new clients, attending meetings and negotiating contracts with senior decision makers. You must have a good understanding of the sales process, alongside the willingness to learn about the products and other services that my client provides.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven Business Development Manager to join a forward-thinking company, where there are excellent opportunities for progression and to break into the international market! If you have a background or knowledge of the agricultural or horticultural industry and have worked as a Business Development Executive, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Executive or Territory Manager then please send your CV in for immediate consideration!THE ROLE:

  • As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying prospective clients before making initial contact via the phone/email
  • Setting up your own appointments before presenting to clients
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the companys unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients before closing the sale
  • Answering client questions regarding services, prices and timescales
  • Managing a number of accounts, ensuring repeat business and increased revenue
  • Meeting and exceeding KPIs and sales goals
  • THE PERSON:
  • Previous experience of selling to the agricultural or horticultural markets is essential
  • Full, clean UK driving license
  • Comfortable speaking with senior decision makers
  • A good understanding of online marketing is advantageous
  • Fluency in French or Spanish is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients quickly
  • Proven sales experience with an excellent record of achieving sales targets
  • Genuine drive and ambition to succeed in sales
