We have positive relationships with teamsacross the service and with our external colleagues which allows for effective and well consideredinterventions that meet young peoples needs promptly and sensitively. We are seeking suitably qualified social worker to join the Accommodation Service who will have case responsibility for our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Young people (UASC) aged 16+ and homeless 16 / 17-year-olds, who need accommodation and support.As part of this role, we are ideally looking for an enthusiastic, creative and resilient person to join the team, who is keen to work with the service to further develop the work we do with UASC young people and to work along our existing UASC Social Workerand to be part of a smaller team that offers targeted support to young people in need.You will have Social Work experience, ideally of working with UASC young people and an awareness of the services available to them, as well as experience in completing age assessments. Experience around supporting homeless 16/17-year-olds would also be beneficialbut further training can be offered and provided as required, however, with suitable interview preparation and research, the specialisms around this subject can be taught in post.If you are passionate about young people, have communication, assessment and intervention skills and a commitment to quality practice, then you might be the right person to join the service.
