Job Description

The CompanyOut client is a specialist manufacturer and a market leader in their field. Due to investment, they are now looking to recruit a Quality Technician.The Role

  • To ensure that supplied components and finished products meet applicable requirements.
  • Inspection of goods received (dimensional, surface finish, etc.) in accordance with the agreed sampling methodology, including maintenance of the goods in inspection register.
  • Inspection of finished product, including initial sample inspection reports to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Co-ordinating the calibration system, ensuring monitoring and measuring equipment is fit for purpose.
  • Raising of Non-conformance Reports where supplied parts or finished goods do not meet specification and ensuring they are quarantined to prevent unintended use.
  • Supporting the Warranty Returns process.
  • Supporting manufacturing operations via patrol inspections / audits, and implementation of containment actions and issue of supporting documentation such as Quality Alerts.
The Person
  • HNC in a manufacturing / engineering discipline or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection methodologies.
  • Previous experience working in an Inspection role.
  • Strong knowledge of using MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
