Job Description

REED Engineering are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for a well known and highly successful employer based in the Cramlington area who are seeking an experiencedQuality Engineeron a permanent basis. To be considered in this roleyou MUST have previously worked in an Quality Engineer position.As Quality Engineer some of your key duties will include:

  • Planning and setting of tasks and targets, in consultation with the SHEQ Manager and Projects Team for quality engineering activities during the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery and site construction of the project.
  • Taking over, reviewing and understanding all relevant contract information and specifications from the Sales and Applications Team.
  • Control and co-ordinate all quality engineering issues for subcontracted or bought out items/processes (i.e., fabrications, painting, fans, dampers, pump skids, electrical assemblies, etc).
  • Initiate, implement and control corrective actions with internal and external suppliers in case of quality deviations and non-conformances.
  • Be the primary point of contact between customer and AAF on quality issues for a given project.
  • Prepare and control the project-specific Inspection and Test Plans, including associated technical documentation and review of the same before issue.
Required education, qualifications and affiliations
  • Engineering apprenticeship within an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • HNC in an engineering discipline.
  • CQI qualification or equivalent.
  • Internal / External auditing certification.
  • Visual weld inspection certification.
