Job Description

Production Technician (Bioprocess Containers)Location : CramlingtonFTC 6 Months with the opportunity to go PermanentBPCs are ready-to-use, single-use flexible container systems commonly used for critical sterile liquid-handling applications in the biopharmaceutical industry.BPC systems are cost-effective alternatives to conventional stainless steel systems. They employ a novel design approach that helps increase shop-floor productivity. BPC components are readily integrated into a variety of high-performance systems for all steps in the production of biologics.Position Summary:To work as part of a large assembly team with responsibility for ensuring that BioProcess Containers are manufactured on time and in accordance with supplied specifications and drawings as per Company Standard Operating Procedures and in line with the requirements of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and relevant ISO Quality Standards.Preferred education & experienceGeneral certificate/standard of educationKnowledge of cGMP and Quality Management Systems is desirable.Prior assembly experience within a clean-room manufacturing environment is desirable however, not a pre-requisite as training will be given.Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and inspect products in accordance with company specifications, drawings and procedures.
  • Responsible for individual product quality and productivity.
  • Complete relevant paperwork in accordance with company and cGMP guidelines.
  • Effectively control and co-ordinate the movement of all BPC related raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.
  • Ensure that the BPC clean room and support areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition and in accordance with the principles of 5S.
  • Assist with, and operate, in other areas of the facility including (and not limited to) the corridor, boxing room and warehouse areas as may be required to meet customer orders and ensure a flexible approach to duties (training provided, as required, within all functional areas).
  • Assist with, and positively contribute to, departmental improvements.
  • Contribute to the formal appraisal process.
  • To perform any other duties within the remit of the role, including acceptance of general and personal responsibilities for Health & Safety on site in compliance with UK legislation and Company systems and procedures, ensuring adherence to all safety requirements on site.
