WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUProduction Engineer:Salary up to £39k DOEFlexible office hours (Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 15:30 / Friday 09:00 - 14:30)38 hour working week23 holidays rising to 25FlexitimePrivate HealthcareTHE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Production Engineer to join our client based in Gateshead. The company in question are a specialised repair, manufacturer and training provider in their sector. The company are adding to their highly skilled team dueto a period of growth as they have a client base that spans the globe. If you have Production Engineering experience and have knowledge of gas turbines see below for further details.THE ROLE* Provide engineering support to maintain progress of production activities.* Production and maintenance of engineering drawings, BOMs.* To engineer solutions (directly and indirectly) to repair, replace, modify, and improve components to complement the companys capabilities to build the business with minimal dependence on others.* Sourcing of parts, consumables, subcontractors, information, and technology in support of production.* Completing Grid and quality inspection on parts and subcontract operations, for both stock and WIP in timely fashion to meet the deadlines set.* Maintaining contact with suppliers via email, telephone, etc to maintain progress of the manufacture of parts and operations, etc* Working with production completing As received technical and Final technical reports.* Design, source, and installation of test equipment to meet with production demands.* Compilation of technical information and instruction manuals to support test equipment.* Commissioning of new test equipment and service/repair/calibration of existing equipment in the field* Overseeing fault investigation and testing of new products or special projects.* Work with sales team to promote the business, speaking with customers diagnosing faults and offering technical support.* Assisting commercial department with part recognition and raising quotations.THE PERSON* HND / Degree, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)* PC literate: with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.* Use of Solidworks drawing package.* Use of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware (Labview).* Experience of fitting and assembly processes.* Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.* Experienced in fluid dynamics.* Able to interpret and read technical specifications and technical drawings* Must have proven team-working skills.* Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure deadlines are met.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.TO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Consultant Neil Douthwaite who is leading the search.
