About The Role** Full time position - 40 hours per week**Purpose of Role: To undertake transport duties for the Home or Homes as directed by the manager, in order to provide transportation within the community that is safe, flexible, comfortable and well planned depending on the needs of Residentsand fellow colleagues.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities The Post holder will play a pivotal role in a team of colleagues and volunteers taking passengers on outings, appointments, events and activities, significantly increasing Residents sense of wellbeing, whilst helping people to stay in touch with their communities.To drive the vehicle/minibus safely ensuring it is well maintained, tidy and clean.To assist passengers getting in and out of the vehicle with due consideration for their mobility needs, wheelchairs, safety straps/belts and ramps.To be sensitive to passengers comfort throughout the journey making changes to plans, routes or length of journey if required.To plan the journey, ensuring sufficient fuel and other facilities/requirements are available.To report to the Home Manager any mechanical problems that may need rectifying, planning and scheduling in the provision of use for tests, (MOT/Service etc.,) well in advance.Accompanying Residents as required whilst out on activities as part of the care team.Multi-site working often out of core hours, for example, evenings and weekends.About YouNot SpecifiedAbout The CompanyNot Specified
