Job Description

Our client is a leading engineering company with a focus on innovation and high-quality standards, they have established themselves as a trusted name in the industry.We are assisting them in their search for a Maintenance Electrician.Job SummaryAs a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and collaboratingwith a team of professionals to maintain productivity.Job Role

  • Continuing to develop the planned preventative maintenance procedures emphasising on breakdown prevention
  • The installation and/or modifying of equipment as required
  • Conducting a root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement effective reoccurrence prevention plans using resource available
  • Working as part of the maintenance team ensuring good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required
  • Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers
  • Using the PC for accessing information, emails and completing reports
  • Training and mentor apprentices
  • To work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the companys health, safety and environmental policies
  • To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected
Requirements
  • Time served electrician with experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Strong electrical background with a good working knowledge of PLCs
  • 17th or 18th Edition qualification preferred but not essential
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive problem-solving approach
