Job Description

Who are weThe Worlds Online Festival (or WOLF for short) is a fast-growing community-oriented platform dedicated to bringing the magic of real-world festivals to the online world - uniting people across the globe in discovery, entertainment and belonging. WOLF isa space for freedom and creativity in your online lifewhether thats participating in live shows, chatting, or discovering talent - all wrapped up in a fun community.The RoleWere looking to build a Virtual Reality version of our Worlds Online Festival experience. Were looking for a Lead VR Developer to come in, set things up then move to building our VR team. We have a unique and ambitious vision to deliver a metaverse experiencein which users can co-create shows on virtual stages, enjoy such shows interactively as audience members, socialising in a vibrant and creative digital festival environment.Were looking for a strong senior developer to lead this initiative - working closely with our CTO, sharing ideas and approaches with our mobile app and server teams. The role will require both hands-on crafting of high-quality Unity code and technical architectures,as well as helping to grow and mentor our newly forming VR Team.What we are looking for a Senior VR Developer;

  • Excellent programming skills - ability to produce high quality, maintainable and clean code.
  • Strong leadership skills - ability to help grow and nurture our VR team.
  • Solid experience using Unity and C#.
  • Solid experience using Source Control tools such as Git.
  • Experience in an Agile / SCRUM work environment.
Nice to haves;
  • Strong generalist programming foundations - ideally with multiple programming languages.
  • Experience building Virtual Reality games or experiences.
  • Experience working with 3D game artists.
  • Experience using issue tracking software such as Jira.
  • Experience working closely with a QA team.
The VR Client is being built with Unity / C#, initially targeting the Oculus platform. The role will require collaboration with internal and/or external artists, crafting client-server game logic to make beautifully designed 3D environments come to life.Benefits
