Job Description

HR Manager opportunity available on a permanent and part time basis working 22 hours per week for a leading manufacturing organisation based in Cramlington. They are flexible on how the 22 hours are worked per week ie. working 3 full days or reduced hoursover 5 working days.The Plant HR Manager provides professional HR management service to the site, driving the strategy for HR activities and programs, aligned to the business needs and consistent with the company Values and HR policy processes. In this role you will monitorthe implementation of legal and regulatory obligations relating to its area of activity and ensures full compliance with all laws and national agreements.The Plant HR Manager provides guidance to the Plant GM, functional managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of established human resources policies to create a climate of trust and open communication. As a member of the Leadership Teamof the site, the HR Manager acts a HR Business Partner and works in close collaboration with the Leadership Team. They are also strongly involved in the deployment of the Corporate HR Strategy and works in collaboration with the other HR managers of the BusinessUnit.Principal Accountabilities:

  • Deployment of the HR policy and processes
  • Support to the operational management team (legal advice, employee skills development etc.)
  • Management of employment relations
  • Ensure timely processing of monthly payroll
  • Management of trade union relations
  • Manage regulatory changes in labour law and ensure compliance
  • Supervision of Site Disciplinary procedure
  • Personnel Administration including documentation to provide clarity on all roles and responsibilities
  • Development and Recruitment of staff in line with business needs
  • Supervision of Compensation & Benefits processes
  • Training and coaching of managers on Corporate tools (Talent Management System, etc.)
  • Actively participate in the definition of the sites strategy
  • HR project management for the site (turnover, absenteeism, training and development, etc.)
  • Management of site communications
  • Manages the HR overall cycle in line with company Corporate guidelines
  • Actively support and align decisions and actions with OHSE requirements.
Experience and Skills required:
  • HR Generalist experience and some at managerial level
  • CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a Unionised environment and dealing with pay negotiations
  • Experience of dealing with complex employee relation issues
The full time equivalent salary for this role is £50,000 based on 37.5 hours per week pro rata to 22 hours. There are excellent additional Benefits including performance related company Bonus scheme, Pension scheme offering a match of up to 8% employer contributionplus many more!
