Job Description

The clientNigel Wright is delighted to be partnering with thismarket-leading manufacturer and ecommerce retailer.The business is the category leader in this sector, having developed strong visibility across multiple channels and has built an enviable market positionbased on its design-led product collection and excellent customer service.The brand ranks as one of the top vendors in their category on large marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay and is also growing a strong position as a key supplier to online specialist retailers such as Wayfair.The business is expanding into new European territories as is looking for trading led eCommerce Manager to drive their UK and European websites forward.The roleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the management, growth, and development of the website, aiming to increase sales through an effective visual merchandising and a pricing strategy in line with third-party sales channels.Responsibilities

  • Business development within the specified sales channels (in-house websites), including driving incremental trade and sales through these channels, with a particular focus on brand development.
  • Using digital marketing knowledge and application to optimise the site performance including SEO, PPC, Adwords and on/off-site activities.
  • Developing a plan across all channels to encompass all seasonal variables.
  • Develop and drive day-to-day management and opportunities within the specified sales channels.
  • Listing new products and managing existing listings on the specified sales channels.
  • Develop and implement a product pricing strategy in line with competitors, including timely and seasonal promotions.
  • Develop and build relationships with other members of the team to ensure product prices, promotions, and information align with third party sales channels.
  • Online visual merchandising of the specified sales channels.
  • Creation and development of new European sales channels.
Person specification
  • Commercial mindset with the understanding of trading websites
  • Experience using Magento, or other similar CMS systems.
  • Experience using leading SEO tools
  • An understanding of web technologies including HTML, PHP, .NET, CSS & JavaScript.
  • Mix of broad digital marketing skills and preferably (but not essential) specific knowledge of online marketing in an online retail environment.
