Further InformationDeputy Loan Equipment CoordinatorAn opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to join a busy and dynamic team, to coordinate and manage Northumberlands Joint Equipment Loan warehouse and the provision of loan equipment for clients. The service supports and coordinates the provisionof loan equipment to clients covering 2000 square miles of Northumberland and a population of 314,000 people. The post holder will ensure that appropriate equipment is issued as requested and prescribed in a timely manner and that returned equipment is, decontaminatedand recycled as per service policy.The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for warehouse personnel and assist the team manager with the day to day operation of the service to meet service objectives and applicable regulatory requirements.The post holder will report directly to the Joint Equipment Loan Service (JELs) manager and deputise for them in their absence. Together they will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service for clients, ensure compliance with health & safetylegislation, operate a fleet of seven vans used by the service to deliver and collect equipment and ensure the security and maintenance of the JELs premises. The premises include a large warehouse, offices and a large external outdoor compound. The successful applicant must have a Warehouse Managerial qualification to a diploma level or equivalent level of expertise gained through progressive experience of warehousing operations and distribution function plus further management knowledge/experience.You need to be dynamic, innovative, committed and passionate, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and challenge. Be flexible, willing to learn new skills as appropriate to the post and possess excellent time management, decisionmaking and the necessary IT skills to use the range of packages, e.g. Word, Outlook, Oracle etc. You should have good organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure.
