We require an enthusiastic RMN or RGN nurse to join our Alcohol Care Team. The main role will be based at NSECH but you will be expected to work across Wansbeck and North Tyneside hospital on occasions. The Team exists to act as a resource for the hospital and provides education, information and support to hospital staff, in addition to providing specialist support to patients with an alcohol-related need. The successful candidate will work as part of the team to model good practice in alcohol screening and brief/extended intervention and detox management in in-patient, and the Emergency Department.Job expectation: The ability to be able to assess patients alcohol needs within a hospital setting. Be highly skilled in the delivery of brief intervention, safeguarding, health education, advice and information, as well as promoting screening of hospital patients. Be able to work autonomously and confidently within a hospital setting.
