Job Description

This is a new role and an exciting opportunity for a candidate to be there at the start of a step-change in how we support specialist product training in the business through an academy format.Part of the marketing team, the role is based at our head office in Coventry although remote and flexible working can be combined. Both brands are specialist distributors, acting as business partners, not just product suppliers. They offer customersa comprehensive range of products readily available through a well-placed network of branches throughout the country.As Training Academy Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for designing, co-ordinating and managing an ongoing programme of specialist product training for the Saint-Gobain Contracts Division colleagues. This is designed to underpin the value propositionof the business for its employees and customers.How will you contribute to our purpose

  • Establish priorities for specialist training; mainly but not exclusively for products, systems and solutions
  • Design an Academy structure within which to deliver on-going training for different levels of experience in the organisation
  • Identify the most effective means, time and rhythm of delivery (digital first wherever possible with in branch and/or practical training with Supplier where valuable to do so)
  • Work with key internal Contracts Division stakeholders across Sales, HR, Business Development, Category and Operations community
  • Work closely with the Technical Services Manager to deliver training appropriate to skills and expertise amongst our colleagues
  • Work directly with selected supplier partners to agree the desired outcomes for the training, the means of delivery and co-ordination of the sessions and any supporting materials.
  • Proactively engage with Saint-Gobain central functions and stakeholders to house training material/modules within the Online Learning Platform and work with internal communications to follow-up on training delivered
What skills and experience are we looking for
  • Experience of creating and executing product training programmes would be advantageous
  • You will have strong relationship building and influencing skills and experience working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude and be a team-player
  • You will have excellent organisational skills
  • Project management experience may also be advantageous in this role
  • You dont need to be a product expert although you will likely be interested in building your own product knowledge and in supporting others with theirs.
