Trainer (Road Safety / Traffic Management)TMS Consultancy are looking for an experienced Trainer to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. Our head office is based in Coventry however the role will consist of office based, working away from home and working remotely so you will need accessto your own vehicle with a full UK driving license.TMS Consultancy are celebrating its 31st year within road safety and we feel justifiably proud of the reputation we have gained as independent experts within the industry. We are an independent company specialising in road safety and traffic management.Established in 1990, we provide services to an extensive client base in both the private and public sectors throughout the UK and internationally. TMS Consultancy has significantly developed its reputation, working extensively with Local Authorities and Consultantsthroughout the UK and also within Ireland, Europe and overseas.Due to growth after Covid, we are looking for someone who is experienced in road safety and traffic management to become part of our team of Trainers.We are open to a variety of backgrounds within road safety and traffic management; however, you must be someone who is confident with public speaking to be able to deliver our training sessions confidently.The training courses you deliver are based all over the country so you must be prepared to work away from home; however, we do have hybrid working and time off in lieu policies in place.At TMS Consultancy, we have trusting and flexible culture which, alongside a well-managed diary, you can benefit from within the role.The roleAs our Trainer, you will develop, prepare and deliver a wide range of road safety, traffic management and highway engineering training courses at venues throughout the UK, Ireland and occasionally overseas.We conduct a wide range of courses throughout the U.K., such as: Highway Safety Inspector training RoSPA Road Safety Engineer 10-day course General Road Safety related courses Temporary Traffic Management (LANTRA Awards - NHSS 12D M7)Main duties Delivery of our training courses in person or via zoom/teamscovid related Assisting with the development of new and existing training courses Development, updating and recording of training courses for our online LMS Preparation of material for training course Development of vocational qualifications, competency certification with respect to TMS training course Maintaining and developing wide and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of transportation, traffic management, road safety and highway engineering issues An ability to undertake Road Safety Audits in accordance with GG119, to assist the audit team during busy periods (preferably Team Leader status, otherwise Team Member) is desirableTo be successful, you must have Experience in road safety engineering, highway inspection and maintenance, highway design or traffic policing Knowledge of current Road Safety issues, Highway Design Standards and Traffic Engineering and Traffic Management Full UK drivers license Outstanding communication skills Excellent facilitation, presentation, and delivery skills Good interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality Ability to use Microsoft Office suite e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc Knowledge and experience of Transport Assessments/Statements, AutoCAD and computer modelling e.g., ARCADY, PICADY, OSCADY is desirable but not essential Experience in creation and delivering training courses Carry out Road Safety Audits in accordance with GG 119 (preferably Team Leader status, otherwise Team Member) is desirable but not essentialIf successful, you will receive Salary is negotiable depending on experienceplease apply and talk to us about your salary expectations 36.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday Healthcare Plan 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
