Tender & Solutions Design Manager - European Road Freight - Birmingham

Global freight forwarder seeking a Road Freight Pricing & Solutions Design Manager.Commercial

Analyse customer and vertical market potential in close cooperation with sales, with a focus on new business for land transport (System Freight, LTL/FTL and Intermodal).
Coordinate pan-European tenders and multimillion opportunities, responsible for compliance with Tender Management related processes and regulatory commercial requirements for example pricing activities requiring Senior Management approval.
Validate transport data, costs & production concepts, and doing RFQ quality checks.
Design logistic solutions and/or products with European Pricing & Solution Design teams during the tender process and/or pro-actively, supporting the Land Sales & products team.
Support handover of successful bids to implementation, by ensuring proper solution design documentation.
Support optimisation of bid processes and pricing guidelines.
Represent the Pricing & Solution Design Team at customer meetings, negotiations, and internal meetings. (Onsite and remotely as required and according to local safety guidelines)
Create regular tender/pricing reports of the current status und awards, preparing post-mortem and pricing analytics.

Team Management

Experience Needed

Leading and developing team to perform at its highest possible level
Delivery of operational and commercial results
Multi-year working experience, ideally with an international logistics service provider and at least 3 years of tender management and pricing experience, further knowledge of logistics operational process
Experience of Customer Presentations
Proficient in the use of Excel and the full MS Office
Solid understanding of Land Transport landscape across Europe including System Freight, FTL/LTL, and Intermodal.
Fluent in written and verbal English, further languages would be beneficial
Experience partnering with Senior Management
Proven ability to work under pressure and work to strict deadlines
