As demand for their services continues to grow, it is vital that they continue to bring expertknowledge and experience into every stage of the process.The role of the Technical Surveyor will facilitate this mission.TECHNICAL SURVEYORSystems installation work they undertake includes Small-Works e.g., system modifications & remedial works and Projects e.g., installation of complete new systems. This role will provide the requisite technical inputs to both areas.A rewarding and fulfilling role involving a mix of site surveys, meeting people and office-based work, it is ideally suited to a candidate who has acquired significant experience but does not want to continue with the physical demands of hands-on engineering.Duties:

  • Analyse post visit reports to support the Service Delivery Team with resolution of remedials work, including processing engineer recommendations for system enhancements and repairs.
  • Complete detailed and accurate surveys for new business including planned maintenance and installation works.
  • Create system designs and equipment schedules, considering current codes of practice, health & safety requirements and material, equipment, plant, time required.
  • Review specified projects drawings/specifications to ensure compliant bids.
Key skills required:
  • Experience as a qualified electrician, with a minimum of 2 years working in a practical hands-on installation role, completing specialist Electrical/Fire/Access/Call systems installations.
  • Good understanding of installation guidelines and codes of practice.
  • Experience commissioning and servicing Fire Alarm and related systems.
  • Critical thinking - the ability to examine different solutions and come up with the best one to suit a given situation.
  • Experience reading construction drawings.
This position requires a self-starter who is conscientious, professional, and can communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all times.It is an important appointment for the business and the ability to be exceptionally accurate, organised and effective in order to deliver to deadlines; whilst at the same time integrating well across multiple personalities, is essential.The ideal candidate will appreciate and uphold our company values, possessing:

With a head office in Coventry and a branch office in Loughborough, our client enjoys excellent access to the national motorway network along with remote working capabilities.This is a full-time permanent position, 42.5 hours a week, requiring a full driving licence and full DBS/NSI security screening to be undertaken.
