Job Description

You will lead a team of distribution centre operatives and co-ordinate activities to achieve business performance; through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a culture of employee engagement.As part of your key responsibilities youll:

  • Ensure health and safety standards are achieved on an on-going basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety.
  • Actively promote, take responsibility for embedding a culture of employee engagement within the team
  • Ensure that the team deliver Key Performance Indicators, where this performance is sustained and continually improved, with focus on quality
  • Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performanceboth operationally and financially
  • Lead daily team meetings
  • Manage customer interfaces and expectations to ensure excellent customer service is received
About YouWed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!
  • Good IT skills with skills in Microsoft Office/Google Suites
  • Previous of experience of managing and leading a team
  • Excellent communication skills including effective listening
  • Strong planning, organising and time management skills
  • An understanding of Transport and/or Distribution would be useful
  • Knowledge of compliance with an ability to problem solve
