Job Description

Job Title Supply Chain ManagerLocation CoventrySalary £45,000 - £60,000 per annumThe RoleOur client, a very well-established Precision Engineering business in Coventry is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team.In this role, you will be working closely with the Procurement Manager and manage the full cycle Supply Chain activity, including:

  • Evaluate potential suppliers and regularly monitor suppliers OTD and quality statistics
  • Optimise the supply chain from suppliers to ensure primary and secondary suppliers are in place across all critical components
  • Dealing with subcontractors for transport and logistics
  • Expediting suppliers
  • Audit suppliers to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements,
  • Act as a liaison between supplier and business, always keep the team informed and deal with queries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Review enquiries considering suppliers capabilities to manufacture to customers specification
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure accurate material and process costs
  • Other duties as required.
    • The CandidateFor this role, we would require someone with previous senior level Supply Chain experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry, as well as:
  • Experience of working within an SME Manufacturing/Engineering environment
  • Experience within an international supply chain environment, in a technical field where quality standards are critical, and price is a challenge
  • Experience within Import & Export
  • Proven experience in reducing spend through negotiation of supply contracts and rebate structures
  • Confident in working in a highly varied, but targeted environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, with a high attention to detail
