SOLUTION ARCHITECT // MIGRATION // DIGITAL // INITIAL 3 MONTHS // £550-620/DAY UMBRELLAREED Technology are working with a client who require a Solution Architect to work with a team that supports the business in designing, delivering and iterating the digital, data and technology services, which are core to providing a modern and enabling interface between Digital, and its internal and external stakeholders.This role is for a highly experienced Architect who can work with the delivery and operational teams, to support the transition between new and old IT environments and products and services, including data migration. The role will require someone to:• Deliver an effective solution - Understand business needs, Plan rigorously and Foster strong relationships• Support teams by delivering architectural designs and implementations, clarifying technical complexity and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, within and outside the organisations.• Work with Data, Development, and Platform and Infrastructure teams to implement the technical solution• Maintain consistency between services, fit and other technology solutions and ensure that architect standards are adhered to• Develop solution design documentation to recognise architecture standards, with alignment to the architecture strategy, roadmap and reference architectures as well as helping govern against these directionsKey Skills• A sound knowledge of architecture methodologies and frameworks and experience of their application• A good understanding of a broad range of technologies in particular in the data architecture space - transactional databases and DWHs, as well as some experience of NoSQL and CI/CD tools• Experience of modern IT paradigms including event-based architecture design, containerisation, microservices and loose coupling• Experience of an API-first and services-led design approach, with the ability to use business requirements, user stories, data standards, and integration patterns to help to define services and APIs• A sound knowledge of cloud technologies, cloud hosting, container, serverless, and networking design patterns, tools and best practice• Experience in implementing technical solutions, building on top of industry standard COTS packages• Experience of developing design artefacts under a number of architecture frameworks e.g. Zachman and TOGAFIf you have the experience to carry out the role listed above, please apply using the link to Sheena Patel.
