Job Description

Salary:£highly competitive + valuable benefits About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, adaptable & motivated individualto join an enthusiastic teamdeliveringgeotechnical site investigation servicesto a wide range of clients across the UK, with the UKs number one testing, inspectionand compliance company.Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of geotechnical site investigation services. Now we need a Site Support Operative to assist in all aspects of site work including mobilisation/demobilisation, enabling/reinstatement works, gasand groundwater monitoring and all other tasks to ensure that fieldwork is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. There will be the opportunity to progress to operating plant and/or drill rigs for the right candidates. You will:

  • Undertake general labouring duties e.g. erecting and repairing fences, clearing vegetation, breaking out of hard standing, general reinstatement of tarmac/concrete/minor brickwork/reinforced concrete/block paving and cobbles/grass or landscaped areas, helpingto mobilise equipment to sites with difficult access, light instrument monitoring, delivery of consumables to site, collection of samples from site and tidying stores where required.
  • Assist in regional office stores / site stores, handling / booking in samples, picking samples out for testing
  • Undertake shallow and deep hand excavated trial pits
  • Ensuring maintenance and appearance of works vehicle is kept to a high standard
About you: Were looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.Adaptable, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a focus on deadlines and client satisfaction
  • Willing to work across the UK and stay away from home during the week
  • Clean driving licence (towing licence desirable)
  • Awareness of construction environment Health & Safety specific to field technicians and ground workers
