Job Description

The role will ensure the smooth running of the full operation process and safe working practices within our fast-paced environment.The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving performance while making a positive contribution to the culture in the workplace. Coaching and developing a team of 14 senior team leaders and team leaders.Client DetailsEcommerce distributor via Amazon, Ebay selling to over 190 countries.DescriptionSome of the key responsibilities for the Shift Manager will be are:

  • Ensure that correct Health and Safety procedures are followed, and areas are kept to a high standard of general tidiness.
  • Attend and chair (in absence of Warehouse manager) pre-shift brief with the Senior Team Leaders and Team Leaders
  • Be a role model for change and always look at improving things
  • Manage KPI performance across the operation
  • Ensure that orders are fulfilled on time.
  • Coach the senior team leaders and team leaders and champion their development
  • Administrative duties as and when they are required.
  • Be responsible for a team of 100 - 150
  • Oversee the ecommerce operation
ProfileThe successful Shift Manager will have the following experience:
  • Ecommerce Distribution experience
  • Experience managing a large team in a warehouse/production/manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in the use of Warehouse management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Presentation/group speaking skills
  • A positive, professional "can do" attitude towards colleagues
  • Understanding of customer needs and using them to drive activity
  • Ability to co-ordinate work efforts amongst a team while retaining accountability
  • Challenge behaviour that does not fit with our values
  • Lead by example management style fit for leading an engaged and forward thinking team
