Job Description

26448Service Engineer - Quarrying SectorCoventry£42,120 + OTAlecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Service Engineers from the quarrying or heavy/construction plant industries interested in working for a market leading machinery supplier and contractor within the quarrying industry.Working as a Field Service Engineer, you will perform day to day maintenance of fixed on-site wash plants and other static process lines at sites across the UK.Job Duties

  • Assist Site Project Engineer when requested.
  • Compile technical reports following service calls and breakdowns.
  • Submit Service Call Reports, Mileage logs and Vehicle inspection sheets on a weekly basis to Head Office.
  • Liaising with service team to agree parts requirements.
  • Attend initial project setup meetings to establish and agree realistic timescales, best working practices and solutions when required.
  • Completing customer breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner.
  • Completing customer equipment servicing and testing.
  • Resolve on-site issues.
  • Compile lists of refurbishment requirements prior to plant removal / re-installation.
  • Liaise with Service team to resolve any ongoing site operational / technical issues.
  • Assist in site operator awareness training to optimise plant performance.
  • Confirm all site operational tasks are being completed under the correct Health & Safety paperwork and in a safe manner.
  • Support customers and In-house (Sales, Admin and Operations).
  • Provide supervisory and technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels.
Engineer Profile
  • 3-5 years+ experience carrying out repairs, maintenance and service to crushing and screening plant or construction/heavy plant machinery.
  • Based within commutable distance of Coventry.
  • Able to travel and react quickly to breakdowns and effect repairs.
  • Able to work overtime as and when required.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Ideally experience in the quarrying or aggregates processing sectors and SPA Quarry Passport.
  • IPAF advantageous.
