Job Description

Bladon Jets are currently recruiting for an Experienced Service Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative engineering Company and use your skills and extensive knowledge within a supportive, engaging and fast paced environment. This is a worldwide customer facing role which requires the ability to communicate with customers and distributors at all levels and play a key part in our evolving business.Key Responsibilities;

  • Local factory-based support of micro turbine generators
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) project and infant care programme
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
  • Replace mechanical and electrical components
  • Produce reports on field issues
  • Carry out installations and commissioning in the field at Customer sites
  • Liaising with factory engineers on field issues
  • Working with Customers locally and remotely to understand and rectify problems on a daily basis
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards
  • Design and provide field training as required
  • Work with Distributors and their technicians in various locations around the world
    • Travel Requirements;
  • Travel throughout Africa, Middle East, Far East, Australia etc.
  • Trips can range from around 1 week up to potentially in excess of 4 weeks dependant on business needs
  • Travel needs are rotated throughout the Aftermarket team
  • Stays abroad are in hotels local to the customer site

  • Qualified to HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical subject or able to demonstrate equivalent experience - Must have some experience in both disciplines
  • Extensive experience in a field service environment with the ability to work autonomously
  • Previous customer facing experience and working in an OEM environment would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of training field personnel and MTGs would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of FTAs and failure reporting systems
