Job Description

Service & Calibration Engineer - Electronic testing equipment.£35,000 - £50,000This is an exciting opportunity to join an in demand and growing company with a solid track record for success and growth. As the company continues to grow in a very niche and specialist market they are looking to expand their existing service offering.For the right candidate options exist to grow further with the business and be part of its future.Following a successful training period, you will perform on-site equipment service, upgrades, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on a range of specialist test and research equipment at our customers site based in Coventry. You will also have somemonthly office-based activities as part of your responsibilities based at the company’s HQ in south Leicestershire, so it would be desirable for this to be a commutable distance.Suitable candidates will ideally have gained experience working in a customer service facing role providing a high quality level of on-site service. Applications are encouraged from Service Engineers coming from a wide range of capital equipment sectors,including medical and laboratory test devices, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and ex-forces.The Role:

  • Undertake routine equipment service, support, maintenance and calibration.
  • Installation & configuration of exchange parts as well as system upgrades.
  • Completion of service reports by hand, tablet, and or laptop PC.
  • Provide a consistently high standard of customer service in both written, on-site presence, and oral form. To include telephone and email customer support along with troubleshooting and/or further assistance as necessary.
You will have experience of similar technical service work and knowledge of equipment calibration, software installation, repairs & maintenance. Experience in data acquisition systems, basic networking, DC & AC power supplies would also be advantages.Educated to HNC/HND, Degree level or other industry-recognized training would also be desirable.Your skills set should also include:
  • A full UK driving license.
  • A can-do work ethic.
  • Be self-motivated and well organized.
  • Customer-focused with high standards of work and attention to detail.
  • The ability to understand technical documentation.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications with a good overall knowledge of IT equipment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Salary & Package: £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, skill level and qualifications. 25 days + bank holiday, pension, mileage allowance for use of own car.
