Senior IT Support Engineer Network Support Engineer / IT Support / Projects / Firewalls / Networking / Azure / VMware My client, a nationally recognised organisation known for being a great place to work is looking for a driven Senior IT Support Engineer to join their internal IT team at their head offices in Coventry. I am looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Senior IT Engineer for this role, who has the experience of both 2nd / 3rd line support and project work. You will be focussed more on the Networking and Firewall side of things (Fortinet and Cisco) but will also need to have experience of core Microsoft Technology Stack (including Azure) and VMware. Key Responsibilities: *Taking escalated calls from customers around the UK.*Remotely accessing customer environments to carry out detailed fault diagnostics.*Travelling to customer sites as required for planned meetings or project work (in the long term). *Running daily checks on backups and carrying out preventative maintenance on customer environments.*Preparing and building customer equipment as required.*Completing small projects as required, including researching and testing new products and technologies. *Providing excellent levels of customer service at all time.Skills and Experience required:*A proven history of being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across a client base of 850 users via remote connectivity, telephone or email.*Good understanding of core Microsoft Stack including Azure*Experience of Fortinet configuration, management and SD-Wan deployment*Experience of Cisco Networking, VLANs, Layer 2 & 3 switch configuration*Overall appreciation of system security, requirements and proven experience with relevant software and hardware solutions. *Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, VMware and Citrix administration.*Ability to research new products and information around technical solutions that provide answers and solve problems. *Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to prioritise and execute tasks under pressure.This is a great opportunity to join a nice experienced team within an established and successful organisation.
